Our event is open to all ages and abilities, runners and walkers and Nordic walkers. We boast one of the cheapest events around and you certainly get alot of bang for your buck with sponsors goodies at the finish line an outstanding venue and music pumping on the beach all morning so bring your togs towels unbrellas and blankets and stay for a while after the race. There will be food available onsite thanks to "Bobbies Bacon Butties" with mussel and whitebait fritters, prawns and squid, gourmet burgers and fries, American Hotdogs and much much more.
Our new course introduced in 2011 is an absolute cracker seeing competitors enjoying a native bush track and passing through stunning Kensington Park before heading out and along a portion of Orewa's new cycle/walkway beside the estuary and over to Millwater Estate in Silverdale. Of course to get you there you will trek along Orewa beach.
The Half Marathon and 10.5 courses are both one lap out and back. Every wee while you will find yourself on a different surface and looking at different scenery... ITS REALLY COOL
5km Beach Walk/Run: You will spend your efforts on the beach travelling South to a turn around marker then all the way North to the end of the beach before heading back to the finish arch.
CORPORATE: Enter 10 or more people from your work business or group into the half marathon and we will give YOU free entry... Simply fill out one entry form with all names and signatures on it and we will confirm your entry.

SCHOOLS COMPETITION: Congratulations to Gulf Harbour Primary in Whangaparaoa who won $1000 sports equipment voucher for entering the largest group into the 2011 5km beach walk/run. Open to primary schools ONLY enter your school group in 2012 to compete for this fantastic prize.
Only one entry per school necessary. We will post your race numbers out to your school.
OREWA BEACH HALF MARATHON T'S: Available for collection at the merchandise table on race day. Shoe Science Albany will not be holding any merchandise stock for us. These can be purchased by filling out your details on an entry form found here and posting it with your cheque to us here at our head office in Kerikeri. Spot prizes should also be picked up here.
